the first line is good, it means you strive for perfection.
second is true, that doesn't mean you don't give your best, you keep hitting and hitting hard. Don't think of people who will surpass you, think of how to leave behind the world.
Your efforts will be appreciated. Karmic Law...you mentioned it to me once.
You can be whatever you think you can be. If you think you can't, you won't be and don't deserve to be.
Take your disappointment in your stride. Learn from your mistakes. Move forward.
